Terrace awnings by Selt are available with or without a protective cassette, in which case the winding beam with the fabric package wound on it is uncovered and exposed to various weather conditions, such as moisture, wind and snow. This means that the fabric can quickly get dirty, and if it is not dried well after rain, it can lose its sun protection properties and its aesthetic appearance. Upon individual customer request, it is possible to fit a half-cassette to the awning, which covers the awning from the top and on both sides. Protecting the awning against rain significantly extends the period of its proper functioning, because not only does the risk of fabric destruction decrease, but the risk of moisture in the drive is also excluded.
The awning canopy is larger than the entire cover so that it fits comfortably under it. The canopy is made of aluminum and powder-coated in an appropriate color similar to the color of the awning structure. The canopy is attached using special brackets. They can be attached directly to the awning, e.g. selt silver plus, jamaica, or directly to the wall, e.g. malta, forte, mezzo and others (in this case, the canopy is not permanently attached to the awning). The production tolerance of 1-2 cm per side should be taken into account. This is especially important when the awning is mounted in recesses, etc.
The maximum length of the canopy is 700 cm, it is recommended that the width of the awning be a few centimeters smaller. The structure of the additional cover is normally intended for awnings mounted on the wall, but in some cases it is possible to adapt the brackets for ceiling mounting.
