Polycarbonate Roofing – Durability and Functionality

Terrace roofs made of polycarbonate are solutions that are gaining growing interest among customers. Durable and functional polycarbonate roofs are used not only as terrace covers but also as roofing for balconies, porches, verandas, or spaces near the house utilized as car parking areas.

Polycarbonate roofing is a permanent structure mounted to the wall of a building or another object. The filling of Gumax roofing is made of 16mm multi-wall polycarbonate with a honeycomb structure. There are three color versions of polycarbonate sheets available:

  • Transparent,
  • Opal,
  • IQ-Relax.

Transparent polycarbonate allows the most light through, while IQ-Relax polycarbonate allows the least light and solar energy.

The filling of Modes roofing can be made of 10mm or 16mm multi-wall polycarbonate, also in three color options.

The construction of Gumax polycarbonate roofing is made of aluminum with increased resistance to moisture and UV radiation. The robust polycarbonate roofing structure is resistant to hurricane-force winds and seismic shocks. Thanks to the application of two stylistic versions of the structure: classic and modern, and two paint colors: white and black with a matte finish, the polycarbonate roofing can not only serve as a shield but also enhance the aesthetic qualities of the surroundings.

Classic constructions proposed in the polycarbonate roofing are distinguished by rounded corners of supports and a characteristic, wavy, stylized shape of the gutter.

The modern style of the polycarbonate roofing structure is characterized by simple angles of supports and a gently rounded shape of the gutter.

The Modes roofing structure is made of powder-coated aluminum. We offer structure profile options in a standard square version, with many color choices available

Polycarbonate roofing can be equipped with side walls and a front wall, creating a sheltered space on the terrace, balcony, or in another part of the house. Often, polycarbonate roofing is used to cover a porch or veranda, increasing the property’s value and utility. When choosing walls for polycarbonate roofing, there are various options available:

  • Front walls, made of safety glass in a 2 to 6 rail system, providing the option of completely or partially covering the space under the polycarbonate roofing.
  • Side walls, made of multi-wall polycarbonate, with several arrangement possibilities – full curtain, a screen using a triangle (wedge between the wall and the roof profile) made of polycarbonate or glass.

When opting for polycarbonate roofing, it’s worth considering the possibility of partially covering the side walls. In the offer, you will find wedges made of polycarbonate or glass, which obscure the space between the roof slope and the side wall (up to the height of the front support).

Polycarbonate roofing, serving as a cover for a terrace, balcony, or veranda, is a permanently mounted solution. Due to the possibility of year-round use, it is an excellent alternative to terrace pergolas. In our polycarbonate roofing, many additional optional features can be applied to enhance the utility value of the structure.

Among the additional options in polycarbonate roofing, we offer:

  • Concrete foundations, blocks mounted at the level of the terrace floor, allowing for a secure attachment of the structure and providing the option of rainwater drainage.
  • Sunscreen rollers, mounted under the structure, made of artificial fabric with interwoven aluminum threads, reflecting up to 89% of thermal radiation and stopping up to 73% of visible light.
  • LED lighting, in a spotlight or strip version, with the ability to smoothly control the intensity and color of the light.
